Responsibilities

 
  • Prepare the deliverables list of the civil discipline, in line with the project schedule.
  • Plan discipline engineering mhrs in line with the progress schedule and budget. Control review and monitor any deviation (spent mhrs vs earned mhrs).
  • Control, review and monitor any progress deviation from the plan and set up recovery plan, as necessary.
  • Approve all deliverables issued by the civil discipline for the project.
  • Ensure that civil engineering is developed with the proper coordination among the other disciplines. Perform/participate to the squad checks.
  • Support Construction Department in the Work Requisitions process (quantities, scope of work, work description, bids tech. evaluation, follow up, approval of technical documentation etc.).
  • Analyze project constraints and take prompt actions in order to solve any issue arising during engineering development.
  • Ensure a sound and reliable project quantity estimate and control.
  • Propose optimization/changes in order to minimize quantity/costs or optimize project schedule.
  • Support Site Technical Office during erection and commissioning phases.
  • Review Tender Documentation and prepare clarification requests during bid phase.
  • Prepare pre-calculation for quantity estimate purpose during bid phase.
  • Interact with Estimating Team in order to prepare an accurate quantity/cost estimate during bid phase.
 

Requirements

 
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering for large EPC/Energy projects
  • Knowledge of major international Civil and Structural Codes
  • Structural calculation knowledge
  • English fluency is essential, French highly desirable
  • Availability to travel frequently
